CAJA MARRÓN DE AUTSAIDER COMICS

Ya está en casa la Caja MARRÓN de Autsaider Cómics ,con 16 minitebeos,16, de gente de calité, a saber: Berto Fojo,Max,Alvarez Rabo, Joaquín Aldeguer,Pierre Druilhe,Gol,Guille,Ezekiel Hurtado,Jokin,Olaf,Martí, Santiago Sequeiros,Pedro Vera y Javi Prieto. 

Y bueno, también estamos Alberto Guitián y yo,que os contamos el MARRÓN en que se metieron RAMÓN y ROMÁN (la OMS,Venca y los autores recomiendan la lectura en paralelo de estos comics, en las fotos tenéis un tutorial)

Bueno, que ha quedao todo supermolón y eso, un honor participar,compradlo que sólo son 12 euros y bla bla.

The Brown Box of Autsaider Comics finally arrived home, 16 minicomics with such beautiful and talented artist as Berto Fojo,Max,Alvarez Rabo, Joaquín Aldeguer,Pierre Druilhe,Gol,Guille,Ezekiel Hurtado,Jokin,Olaf,Martí, Santiago Sequeiros,Pedro Vera y Javi Prieto. 

And, well, Alberto Guitián and me too, telling you the MESS ( "Marrón", apart from "brown",means "mess" in spanish slang) in which Román and Ramón got involved the other day. WHO, UNESCO and the authors recommend the parallel reading of these comics as shown in the photos below.

NOBROW#8 HYSTERIA

¡El número 8 de la revista Nobrow ya está a la venta! He tenido el honor de participar en este número doble que,bajo el tema "Hysteria",  divide sus 120 páginas entre ilustración y cómic, con dos portada y montada en sentido inverso para cada una de las mitades.

 Después de la preciosa portada y guardas de Max que corona estas líneas y corresponde a la parte de cómic, todo un despliegue cuatricolor con tintas planas sobre un papel chulísimo con una impresión tremenda para historietas de cuatro páginas de autores como Luke Pearson,Ross Phillips, Nick Edwards o Marc Torices,entre los cuales me cuento orgullosísimo. La otra parte de la revista no le va a la zaga, con unas ilustraciones bestiales a doble página de gente como Puño, Vicent Mathy, Vicent Mahé, Tom Haugomat, Sam Bosma y muchos más.

Nobrow#8 is on sale! I have the pleasure of taking part in this issue which under the "Hysteria" theme, divides its 120 pages between illustration and comic, with two covers and inverse layout for each part.

Beyond the beautiful cover from Max  heading this lines and which corresponds to the comic part, a great technicolo show, with beautiful paper and great printing quality for 4 page stories from author like Luke Pearson, Ross Phillips, Nick Edwards or Marc Torices, among who I´m proud to be. The counterpart does not lay behind, with great illustrations from Puño, Vicent Mathy, Vicent Mahé, Tom Haugomat, Sam Bosma and many more.

De paso os recuerdo que además durante el Saló se podrá ver una exposición del Aventuras de un Oficinista Japonés con motivo de haber sido premiada como Mejor Obra Nacional en 2012, con 21 planchas entre originales y reproducciones y una de ellas muy especial, el original gigante ( y plagado de muñequitos) de la portada de la edición de Nobrow del cómic, que nunca había expuesto hasta ahora. Toni Guiral y yo hemos preparado la expo con mucho amor, ¡espero que la disfrutéis!

PANORAMA

"PANORAMA, Una mirada a la Novela Gráfica española hoy" es el título de una antología de historias inéditas de autores españoles que publica Astiberri coordinada y editada por Santiago García y en la que estamos un puñado de gente guapa. Para mí es una alegría compartir espacio con gente a la que admiro y a los que muchos considero amigos, maestros o grados de parentesco análogos.

Gracias a Santiago y Astiberri por llamarme para colaborar, en mi caso he participado en una historieta de 10 páginas en blanco y negro con un título que no voy a desvelar ahora, que empieza así y que es de las cosas que más me he divertido haciendo últimamente.

¡ El 24 de mayo el resto! Podrán identificar el libro en su librería habitual por esa preciosérrima portada de Javier Olivares que he puesto al inicio del post.

ENTREVISTA AL OFICINISTA JAPONÉS EN QUIMERA

Gerardo Vilches ( autor del blog sobre tebeos The Watcher and The Tower) entrevistó al oficinista japonés en el número de Enero de la revista Quimera, dentro de un fantástico dossier especial dedicado a Japón coordinado por Elisa McCausland. La entrevista incluía imágenes exclusivas del encuentro entre entrevistador y entrevistado que salieron reproducidas en blanco y negro, he aquí la versión en color.

Gerardo Vilches ( who writes about comics on his blog The Watcher and The Tower) interviewed the japanese business man on the January number of the literature magazine Quimera, which included an special rocking dossier about Japan and weird manga coordinated by Elisa McCausland. The interview included exclusive footage images of the encounter between them which were printed in black and white, here you have the color version for them.

ADVENTURES OF A JAPANESE BUSINESS MAN

Esta es la portada para la edición en inglés de Aventuras de un oficinista japonés que sale publicado de la mano de Nobrow este octubre en Reino Unido y en 2013 en Estados Unidos. Ni que decir tiene que me hace una ilusión tremenda esta edición, tanto por ver al oficinista dando vueltas por parajes extranjeros como por el hecho de que salga editado con una de las editoriales más interesantes ahora mismo en el panorama comiquero internacional.

Con motivo de esta edición, realicé una nueva cubierta doble que podéis ver a continuación, amén de un par de ilustraciones interiores que postearé en próximas entradas. Por el momento, aquí van, amén de las imágenes de la cubierta, unas cuantas fotos del libro en sí.

This is the cover for the english editon of Adventures of a Japanese Business Man, which is being released by Nobrow this October in UK and in 2013 in USA. Needless to say the tremendous illusion this edition makes me feel as much to see the little business man wandering foreign places as to being published by one of the most interesting houses existing nowadays in the comic scene.

As said on the back cover, Adventures of a Japanes Office Worker is a book in which evertything can happen and does, while this little grey japanese business man tries to head home after work and gets involved in a succession of strange events, including Yakuzas, mutations, love stories,a satanic postal office and a bubblegum meteorite.

In order to this edition I drew a brand new double cover which you can see below as well as two new interior illustrations I will post on future entries. For now here are, alongside with the cover images, a few photos of the book.
